For this project in the Lenches, near Evesham, Henson Surfacing were commissioned to install a new tarmac driveway incorporating oak sleeper retaining walls.
Project Overview
The site presented a steep entrance, which required careful consideration during the design and build of the driveway. Oak sleeper retaining walls were installed to manage the change in levels and form a structured, stepped landscape that allows for a smooth and practical driveway entrance.
The driveway itself was finished in tarmac, providing a durable and reliable surface suited to regular vehicle use on a gradient.
Retaining Wall Construction
Particular attention was given to the construction and longevity of the oak sleeper retaining walls. These were installed to provide long-term structural support, helping to retain ground levels and ensure the driveway remains stable and serviceable for many years to come.
